Krista Kristiāna never stops. Like Galileo Galilei, she is ready to explore vast horizons to discover true stars. Whether it is the development of the company, conducting and analyzing interviews, developing candidate search strategies, or searching for candidates – Krista works with the diligence, passion, and perseverance of a true researcher.
Krista has acquired three higher education degrees in personnel management, business management, and social sciences, and she is also a certified Hogan Assessments consultant. She is persistent, goal-oriented, with strong analytical and logical thinking, which, combined with her desire to explore and find the best solution, always leads to results. Krista has attracted and evaluated many excellent managers and experts in various fields, helping organizations develop their business goals.
1. How would you describe your daily work at our company?
Working with such diverse people and companies every day is interesting! The daily routine can bring such a range of emotions – joy, satisfaction, disappointment, or surprise – that it never gets boring. I like the fast pace of the day, communicating with different people, and at the same time, there are tasks that require great care and concentration. We have a wonderful team that makes it a joy to go to work, so I am happy to have found a job that is close to my heart!
2. What are your hobbies or interests outside of work? And how do you maintain a healthy work-life balance?
Currently, my free time is taken up by my little lady Klāra Magdalēna, with whom I enjoy the joys of childhood! But I like to spend my free time actively, in nature with my family and my four-legged Cavaliers. Also, traveling, playing golf, attending concerts and theaters, and visiting friends or relatives bring me positive emotions and energy. I don’t actively seek a balance between personal and professional work because, honestly, my work and professional activities are somewhat like a hobby to me! 😊
3. Can you share a funny, peculiar, or interesting incident that has happened while working in candidate selection and evaluation?
This happens regularly! At one point, I started keeping a diary of such events to someday write a book about them. 😀 But the interviews with former ministers and the president of the country remain vividly in my memory. I remember the excitement and honor of having the opportunity to interview such knowledgeable and professional people.
4. What would you like to achieve in the future?
In the future, I would like to be a lecturer at a university to share my knowledge and experience with the younger generation. I also have various ideas on how to develop our companies to help as many organizations as possible find their true stars!
5. What is your favorite saying or mantra? Why is it important to you?
Probably the most common saying I tell my team is, “Eyes are afraid of work, but hands are not!” Often in our work, there are situations where it seems that a solution cannot be found, but I am convinced that there is always a solution! You just need to act, even if only a little, and the result will always come!
